Letter to myself

Feb 9
1 min read

Take heed of these words before destiny unfurls.

Spend more time with the trees and under the stars

before financial obligation traps you indoors.

Play more with your siblings before they drift away.

Laugh more with your parents before their marriage decays.

Get lost in more books before the internet arrives.

Get lost in more woods before you learn to drive.

Keep hold of the faith that kept you so pure.

Throw open every window and unlock every door.

I remember all your mistakes. and you know not of mine.

Alas, I'd send you this letter, if only there were time.

Identity
